We want to keep adults, teens, and kids engaged in reading throughout their life. We offer several reading programs designed to encourage reading and make it fun!
Our Reading Programs are through Beanstack, which is our free online service that offers book and activity logging.

What are the Reading Challenges?
1000 Books Before School
It is never too early to start your little one on the road to reading!
The 1000 Books Before School program encourages you to spend time sharing books with your little ones while building critical early literacy skills before he or she starts school. Earn badges along the way to the special completion prize. Start your child’s journey today. Simply register in Beanstack and enroll in 1000 Books Before School challenge!
Summer Reading Challenge 2023-24
Get set for summer and join our Summer Reading Challenge!
The Summer Reading Challenge is a FREE program that is open to children aged 6 – 12 years.
The challenge begins on 4 December 2023 and finishes on 26 January 2024.
Every 4 hours of reading will entitle you to 1 entry that will go into our weekly draws. There will be bonus entries along the way if you can locate secret words, write a book review or solve some problems!
If you are unable to access the internet don’t worry come into the Library and we can help you out.

The winners of the weekly prizes will be contacted by Griffith City Library and names will be posted on our social media sites.
